About the Studio

Since the original studio in Black Mountain closed in 2020, it’s been our vision to open a space together to continue our work. As we meet the moment and this clarion call to reconnect with each other in person, we knew we wanted a welcoming, sacred container that feels warm, grounded, transformational, and that can hold a multitude of experiences.

Land Acknowledgment

Sanctuary Studio rests upon the layers upon layers of human and more-than-human beings that weave together to make up the relational field of life.

We recognize that they are always with us and reside in our hearts, breath and bones. We acknowledge that which comes together to create a physical and energetic eco system of which we are a part of. Sanctuary Studio rests and operates on the unceded land of the Tsalagi/Cherokee people and the ones who came before them that we no longer have names for. We hold the forgotten and the remembered in our hearts and prayers.

The Tsalagi/Cherokee people are the original stewards of this land. We acknowledge this is their rightful home. We recognize our colonizer privilege to hold healing arts and ceremonial events on these sacred lands when the indigenous peoples are/were not allowed to without punitive response. To support right relationship and reciprocity, we are currently researching where we can donate a percentage of our proceeds. We will decide and publish where this reciprocity will flow soon.
